Diploma in Biblical Studies

The diploma in biblical studies consist of eight (8) 3-credit unit courses. The courses are chosen to equip Christian workers including pastors and lay leaders, with the doctrinal knowledge and practical skills necessary to serve in ministry. Courses that focus on doctrine include Christian Foundations, Old and New Testament Surveys, Hermeneutics, Homiletics and a course on pastoral duties and the church. Practical theology courses include Biblical counseling, Christian leadership and management, as well as evangelism and missions. 

The courses can be taken online or in combination with face-to-face lectures where there is a Newman Bible Academy teaching hub. Course completion will involve watching and listening to the video/PowerPoint lectures, reading the assigned manual, passing an exam and whatever else is a specified requirement in the course syllabus. Each course is offered in English, Tagalog and Bisaya. The PowerPoint materials are written in English but will be explained in Tagalog and Bisaya in the corresponding language department. 

Students will be given a certificate of completion after finishing each course and a diploma after satisfactorily completing the 8 courses required in the diploma program.
